The Dakota Prairie Inn & Suites began as the U-Bar Inn & Suites and has been a staple in the close-knit community of Canistota, South Dakota, for decades.

Our 27-room motel was newly renovated in 2023 and offers our guests a quiet and comfortable refuge on the Dakota prairie.

We are a family-owned and operated hospitality establishment at your service.

Our front desk is open 6 a.m.-8 p.m. Find us there or enjoy our common area seating, equipped with a TV, kitchen, full size fridge and freezer that's available for your use during your stay.
